We have been successfully educating physicians ever since.

Physician Documentation Improvement (PDI)

This program addresses and improves the quality of documentation provided by the physicians.

Physician documentation is the single-most important element of the medical record, accounting for the facilities’ ability to submit appropriate claims, defend medical necessity, monitor performance, substantiate quality of care, etc. MARSI's program works closely with case management, HIM, and Physician Advisors.

We provide the educational component for physicians from a peer perspective.  Our physicians conduct interactive education and training of the physicians.   MARSI’s unique query process, which has proven to be highly successful, supports ongoing physician training.

♦  We can provide a listing of ICD-9-CM codes and MS-DRGs generated by ineffective physician documentation.

♦  Conditional recommendations from MARSI’s Inpatient & Outpatient Compliance Review identify ongoing problem areas.

♦  Physician score cards are available.
